Registration Guidelines
Player Registration:
- Register individually on the registration from and select your community association and the appropriate age division.
- Each player needs a blue and white reversible SMBA Jersey. Order through Al Anderson's via the link provided during registration.
- Important: Be sure of the jersey size when ordering. No exchanges or refunds. A new size requires a new purchase. JERSEY PURCHASE HERE
- You will be notified by Al Anderson's when your jersey is ready for pickup.
Payment Information:
- Online: Credit card
- E-transfer: Send to payments@smbayxe.ca . Include the player's name in the notes.
- Cash/Cheque: Mail to 231 Guenter Terrace, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 4P6.
- Refund Policy: Cancellation before season starts you will receieve a refund minus a $25 admin fee. No refunds after the season starts.
Community League:
- The Community League is for entry level and experienced players
- Games are on Saturdays, scheduled by SMBA.
- Select your community association on the registration form. If unavailable, you'll be placed in the nearest one.
- Team Formation: Teams are formed by community coordinators and coaches. No guarantee of placement if you miss online registration.
- Time Commitment: Community teams practice 1 to 2 times per week.
Community League FAQs:
- All teams are formed by the Community Association Coordinators.
- The community basketball coordinators and coaches set practice times for 1 to 2 times per week.
- Online registration is required, and there is no guarantee of getting on a team if you miss the registration.
- If one area does not have enough players to field a team players from an adjacent community association will be brought together to form a team.
NLDL League:
- The NLDL is for experienced players in grades 5/6 and 7/8.
- Independent evaluations occur during September at the Evaluation Camp.
- Please indicate your intent to tryout of the NLDL on your registration form. Players not selected to play in the NLDL will be returned to their Community Association team.
- 2-3 practice sessions per week.
- Mid-season development camp in December.
- Evaluation Camp fee: $60, which will be added to your registration.
Additional NLDL season fee: $70 per player is applied after you are selected to the league.
NLDL FAQs:
- Evaluations/Try-outs for the NLDL will be held over 2-3 weekends in September.
- Interested participants should indicate their intention to try-out for the NLDL on the registration form.
- Following the evaluations Teams will be drafted based on skill level, regardless of home location in the city.
- If a player is not selected to play on an NLDL Team they will be returned to their Community Association team.
- Teams will practice twice a week and play once a week.
