SMBA Fall/Winter Registration Guidelines
How to Register
- Register individually online.
- Select your Community Association and Age Division during registration.
- Indicate if you'd like to try out for the Next Level Development League (NLDL) (Grades 5–8 only).
Jersey Requirement
- All players must wear the official blue and white SMBA reversible jersey.
- Order online through Al Anderson's during registration (no exchanges or refunds).
- You’ll be notified by Al Anderson’s when your jersey is ready for pickup.

- Credit Card (during online registration)

Refund Policy
- Refunds available before the season starts, less a $25 admin fee.
- No refunds once the season begins.
Dunkaroos Basketball Program (Grades 1–2)
- Introductory program for young players new to basketball.
- Focuses on fun, skill development, and fundamentals.
- Great for building confidence and a love for the game!
- Teams will have weekly sessions that combine practice and modified game play.
Community League (Grades 3–8)
- Open to all skill levels.
- Games on Saturdays, scheduled by SMBA.
- Teams are formed by community coordinators and coaches.
- Practices 1–2 times per week.
- If your community has insufficient numbers, players will be grouped with a nearby community.
Next Level Development League (NLDL) – Grades 5–8
- For experienced players seeking a more competitive environment.
- Evaluation Camp in September (Tryout fee: $60).
- Players not selected return to their Community League team. If selected:
- 2–3 practices per week/1 game per week
- Mid-season development camp in December
- Additional League Participation fee: $70 (Team Shirts and Additional Gym Fees)
Jr. & Sr. Girls Program (High SCHOOL-AGED Girls)
- Designed for high school girls of all skill levels
- Skill Development Phase (Mid-Oct to Mid-Nov): 4 weeks of structured training with experienced coaches.
- Evaluation & Draft: Players are evaluated on their skills, teamwork, and effort.
- Four to six balanced teams will be created through a fair draft process.
- League Season (Dec to Mid-March): Saturday games in a round-robin format.Playoffs (Mid-March)
- Emphasis on skill-building, sportsmanship, and inclusion.
Jr. & Sr. Boys Program (Two Leagues: Gr. 9-10 Boys and Gr. 11-12 Boys)
- Skill Development and Competitive League Play.
- Skill Development Phase: 4 weeks of intensive training (starting in mid-fall) with experienced coaches.
- Focus on technical skills, tactical knowledge, fitness, and game IQ.
- League Season:
- Begins Early December and runs through mid-March.
- Playoffs: Championship-style playoffs conclude the season.Aims to promote growth, fair play, and competitive excellence for high school-aged boys.
